My Santa’s list
A pair of Lola Mary Janes by Yuni Buffa
This book. TIP: Also, as someone who has written a book and is selling it on Amazon and B&N (and never paid that much attention to my distribution and sales as a dreamer Sagittarius), when you want to buy a book before hitting the “buy now” button on Amazon, search used books store, go to your local bookstore, check your library if you don’t mind not owning the book.
Colorful fine jewelry.
A vintage kantha for my bed from the Lido World store owned, imagined, created, curated, and nurtured by the one and only Heidi Kelso and her infinite sensibility.
Yet, the picture is blurred because it’s not digitized and was paparazzied in the old-fashioned way, but Caroline’s headband. The best place to find it would probably be a good old profumeria in Italy.
Gift an orphaned elephant, or rhino, or giraffe.
I had this craving for marron glacés and that wish was granted, as you may have noticed on IG.
My Birthday List
This is my birthday month and my favorite-st time of the year, stat. If there’s one thing I don’t shy away from, it is exuberantly disclosing that my birthday is coming and equally get offended if friends forget about it. It’s all because it’s so close to Christmas that I have always had to make myself heard and refuse to accept the “your gift is for your birthday AND Christmas” BS. A serial blacklister since birth and I have to thank my grandmother for imposing the rule and authorizing me to enforce it.
Another blurry screengrab from one of my favorite movies of all time “Working Girl” because dude, that leather coat and the hair.
The One-Of Mini Pillow Bag.
I hope for some snow flurries in NY so Cec and I can replicate this Slim Aaron St. Moritz snap.
What I love
“May December”, the movie with Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore. It made me notice how low I stooped in acting preferences with this Netflix (and Hulu and Peacock and Hallmark) and chill, that when you are in front of theatrical performers the movie experience is complete.
I miss movie theaters.
Jalil Johnson style, closet, and a keen eye for the best.
What I hate
Any pre-packaged panettone farcito. Tropical temperatures and weather for Christmas. Extremist MAGA evangelical pro-life hypocrites. A tomato sauce that has pieces of tomato in it.
Resolution n.1
The “Rule of 5” will be my exceptional resolution, a challenge I am taking for the year to only buy 5 clothing items.
And this is a MIU MIU Holiday look just because.
LOVE HEIDI AND LIDO!! And Happy Birthday! xx
